The surface of these bars is specially ribbed (grooved) for better adhesion to the concrete. Ribbed rebars, which are produced in standard lengths of 12 meters, are available in various thicknesses such as 8, 10, 12, 14, 14, 16, 16, 18, 20, 22, 22, 24, 25, 25, 26, 28, 30, 32 mm in diameter. This special surface design increases the shear resistance of the rebar in the concrete and contributes to the load bearing capacity of the structure.
